Pearl Women’s Center Website
Website Development
The Pearl Women’s Center is a boutique Portland medical practice specializing in Women’s health. In collaboration with The Maris Agency, we produced an updated website that aptly reflects this luxury medical brand.
This project gave us the opportunity to utilize some of the best open-source products around – we utilized Wordpress as the dynamic website engine, creating a custom theme and plug-ins for PWC. This also enabled PWC and The Maris Agency to make regular site updates themselves. Two great javascript libraries — JQuery and Scriptaculous – allowed us to create some beautiful image transitions and photo galleries.
Expresscopy.com
All of the Above
Our flagship client for much of the last decade, Expresscopy.com is a homegrown Oregon success story. Founded by Lee Dietz as a color copy service provider, Expresscopy began taking internet orders in 1999. When the volume of these orders started mounting, and replacing walk-in business, they brought us in to craft them a simple online order management queue.
That small project grew into a long-term engagement that saw Expresscopy grow from a modest online storefront to an industry-leading provider of print-on-demand services. With our help, Expresscopy introduced such groundbreaking services as self-service online postcard design, automated per-impression personalization, and USPS-integrated automated first-class postcard mailing. After operating independently for nearly 20 years, Expresscopy.com was acquired by InfoUSA in 2007.
Our work with Expresscopy ran the gamut of dot-com technical roles, ranging from system design and development – including integrating an online order fulfillment system with high-volume roll-fed digital printing presses – to IT resource planning and technical personnel management. Over the course of our tenure with Expresscopy, we helped them grow a skilled and effective in-house design and programming team, serving in interim CTO and Programming Manager roles when required.
Crag Law Center
Website Development
When Ralph Bloemers and Chris Winter struck out on their own to launch Cascade Resources Advocacy Group in 2001, they brought a formidable degree of legal skill, drive, and raw talent into the service of the Pacific Northwest environmental movement.
Over the past eight years, they have grown and developed into an established environmental defense legal firm, regularly taking on industry and the government in the service of clean rivers, healthy forests, and livable communities in the northwest.
Since their inception, the Crag website has served as a clearing house for court filings, press coverage, and related documents. In the service of advancing their mission, they have enlisted our help to re-vision their website as a showcase for their victories, an information resource for their community, and a rallying post for their supporters.
In addition to overhauling the look and feel, we built the site on Wordpress, enabling Crag personnel to make regular updates, including blog entries about their ongoing mission.
